Candy

Purpose:

• To have children collect, organize and display data.

Materials:              

• Box of multi-colored candies
• Paper plate
• Candy recording sheet
• Crayons or markers
• Graph paper

Directions:

1.     Open the box of candies.

2.     Follow the directions and complete the questions on the recording sheet.

3.     Make a bar graph to show how many of each color of candy you have. Make sure your graph includes a title and is labeled correctly.

4.     Make up 4 questions you can ask your classmates about your graph. Write them on a piece of paper.

5. Show your graph to your classmates and ask them to answer your questions.
