Math Street Teacher Profile: MaryAnn Hoyt

Background Information: I attended the University of CentralFloridaand received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exceptional Education. I am an exceptional education teacher at Millennia Elementary School in Orlando, Florida. Throughout my education at UCF, there was a continual emphasis on the importance of integrating technology to promote academic success.

Role at School: 

I teach first and second graders with varying exceptionalities in a self-contained classroom environment. Differentiating instruction for individual students is vital for them to reach their highest potential. It is my goal each day to combine curriculum resources including technology to create individual differentiated instruction for my students.

Comments about the Program:

 

MathStreet has given me the opportunity to individualize instruction for each of my students. I create workbooks that accommodate grade level and the individual learner. I have integrated the activities, flashcards, quizzes, and assessments as a supplement to the math curriculum.
